Alaska Premier Outfitters
Alaska Premier Outfitter offers guided hunts in Unit 17 for moose, brown bear and caribou, as well as fishing for king salmon, from base camp on the Nushagak River. Jason Mogen is owner and guide, and provides clients with very good chances at taking trophy moose, caribou and brown bear.
Alaska’s Fishtales Lodge
Located on the northern edge of Prince of Wales Island, Gregg Cook’s Alaska’s Fishtales Lodge sits in prime country for the do-it-yourselfSitka blacktail deer, black bear, duck and goose hunter. Base package includes cabin, vehicle and skiff and full service includes meals. Don’t forget your fishing rod as silver salmon fishing is exceptional in this part of the island.
Becharof Lodge and Outfitters
Based on the Egegik River, Becharof Lodge and Outfitters provides full-service hunts for coastal brown bear, moose, caribou and waterfowl. The first lodge sits about three miles downstream from Becharof Lake on the Alaska Peninsula, and is in prime location for ptarmigan hunting.The other lodge sits within view of the river’s lagoon, providing immediate access to the lower river and long hours of fighting coho. Hunts utilize trapper’s cabins and tent camps.
