“I’m a bit late commenting on your service. That’s because 3 weeks after Brad’s excellent work I sailed away from Valdez per usual not to return till mid-November. No email or web access during that period. First test of the repaired knee came 3 days later – my 1st new pk summited for ’16. 4 wk to day surgery I reached a grand summit which I had to kick steps in the snow and ice to reach the ascent. The knee performed painlessly through all and continued strengthening through the season until it’s once again stronger than the other. At 73, I had been suffering for some time from several problems stemming from damage caused by arthritis in my shoulders. At my age, I felt it was something I’d have to put up with, but it was getting difficult to sleep at night or perform simple daily tasks due to the pain. My son recommended I see Dr. Sparks. Dr. Sparks performed arthroscopic surgery on both shoulders, which relieved much of the problem but left me with some discomfort and limitations due to continuing inflammation. After full recovery from the surgery, Dr. Sparks gave me an injection to further calm the inflammation, and it worked fantastically. I experienced immediate relief, and two days later, full assistance from my arthritic shoulders. “Great. My hip has worked flawlessly with no problems or complications. In June 2017, I went to Japan to work and then in October 2017 to Qatar (working as a contractor for the military). Then in July, I went to Afghanistan. I had to pass several medical screenings to qualify to deploy. No problems.
