The Snow Shoe Gun Club:
At Mile 6.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway, turn right on Shotgun Drive to the gate on the right. The SSGC is a member-owned facility that offers a 600-yard rifle range with ten covered benches. There are currently five pistol bays with construction planned to bring that number to 20.
The SSGC offers trap and skeet shooting every Sunday from 11:30 until all are done shooting. It’s priced at $5 per round and is open to the public
An annual membership fee is $80, which is a family membership and provides a key to the gate to be utilized by the member anytime between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The SSGC sponsors numerous activities, such as Hunter Education training, Women on Target Training, Delta Waterfowl youth and women waterfowl hunting introduction and various competitive shooting events. Scheduled events take priority.
