About Hunt Alaska Magazine
Over the years the magazine's reach has grown to include roughly 10,000 subscribers, a captivated audience of ERA and PenAir travelers, strong newsstand presence and a huge pass through readership of folks who share their copies.
Fish Alaska's editorial and photography is provided by some of the strongest outdoor writers and photographers in the industry. Quality writing and reporting coupled with first hand knowledge and experience is the theme of our publication.
From this experience and success bears the new Hunt Alaska magazine with plans to follow a similar path of excellence. "Our biggest strength is our competent staff', says Publisher Melissa Norris, "oh and Alaska is a pretty big factor too." Almost everyone in Alaska is enthralled with the outdoors and fishing and hunting are two of the State's biggest passions. Plus people travel from all over the world to visit the Great State for it's outdoor lifestyle.
So, with the right formula for making a successful magazine and the lure of Alaska, Hunt Alaska is in the infant stages set to make waves in the hunter's world. The new publication has plans to cover all the major game species of Alaska and to bring all aspects of the hunt to its readers. From species and destination rich features to selecting gear to field dressing and recipes, it is the mission of Hunt Alaska editors to educate and entertain Alaskan hunters and the dedicated hunting travelers who make their way to Alaska for the trophy of a lifetime. All styles of hunting in Alaska will be discussed from the use of a bow to firearms including muzzeloader, shotgun, handgun and rifle.
We are proud to work with our core staff that started with us in 2001 and have added a few strong additions to the team. We are thrilled to have Troy Letherman as the Editor for Hunt Alaska and Scott Haugen as Associate Editor. Together the magazine's editorial direction is bound to please.
